Well this wee guy was my papa n probably the best wee papa you could ask for. He was taken by the angels on the 9th December 2007 and its been as hard without him ever since. loved and missed by all the family xxx
Growing up you were always there
Each and every day showing me that you cared.
Spoiling me every chance that you had.
Letting me know that is okay to be sad.
After school, you checked on me day after day,
Listening to every word i had to say.
Each moment we spent together
Will be special to me forever.
Days spent shopping or mowing
Were as precious as when it was snowing.
My best memories are those at the time of year
When we decorated for Christmas with care.
The family would gather to feast
Which now happens the least.
Christmas magic soared through the air
While you taught me how to share.
Twenty one years I kept you in my sight.
Now all I can do is hold the memories tight.
The day your soul drifted high
My heart knew, and all I could do was cry.
A part of my heart left with you.
The part that told me what to do.
I have your hand on my shoulder telling me where to go.
I once thought the part of me that went with you
Was lost forever and would not be put to good use.
I now realize that I never lost part of my soul.
I simply shared it with you to keep us whole.
You watched over me while you were here
And I know that you will watch over me from up there.
Papa, to me you meant the world.
Now with you I can live in the world.
A sign of Christmas and peace is the dove.
You taught me that to have peace one must have love.
My love for you, Papa, will soon project
Into the love you will help me use to protect.

As this year draws closer to its end and
Passes through Christmas and New Year then is no more
We look back and remember those
Who last year and the year before
Were here
As the lights, and Carols and all the trappings
Surround us once again and those
We love are far away this Christmas
We think of them and those back home
And pray
Those who mourn - whose son or daughter’s name adorns a stone
Can only think of Christmases gone by
We who look on and weep for them
Can only say, ‘There, but for the Grace of God, go I’
And tell them:
You are not alone, nor forgotten, and -
Though your child’s name was carved with pride in that cold stone
Their names were written also in our hearts
And yours: your bleeding, battered hearts which beat for them
Will, as long as you’re alive
Remember them with love and pride
For what is a life that was loved but now gone?
A hundred-thousand memories: a million tears, which now though sad
Were once - back then - happy, too, when you laughed together
The memories, the tears both poignant and glad
Are there for you to keep the while your grieving heart beats
And - for as long as your heart beats - they will never die.

I felt an angel's touch today,
in the midst of my despair.
Twas sent by God, Himself, to say,
"be still and know I'm there."
To lead through days of darkness,
and light your way with love.
Be still and know, deep in your heart,
I'm reigning from above.
I'll lift you when you stumble,
I'm with you all the time.
I understand and share your pain;
remember child of mine,
The end is coming quickly;
the Lord shall soon appear.
To resurrect the righteous ones,
I love and hold so dear.
And bring them home, into a place,
where broken hearts are healed.
And promises I made to you,
will finally be fulfilled.
This life is but a spot in time,
a place for lessons learned.
Heaven holds the key to all,
your broken spirit yearns.
I sent an angel down today,
to show my words are true.
